The Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows Environmental School Project is an innovative opportunity for student learning, taking their learning beyond the walls to opportunities in the community and natural world.
With the desire to support creative and innovative educational opportunities for learners, the Ridge Meadows Education Foundation supported the Environmental School Project. The funds provided immediate access to sports equipment and the opportunities throughout the year for students to use a variety of tools to design and build wood structures. When exploring rivers, riparian zones and forests, the essential tools to use are magnifying glasses and microscopes.
The Environmental School Project community thanks the Ridge Meadows Education Foundation for the kind support for their first year.
